        As per the original Time Table given, Anna University Theory Examinations for  Affiliated Colleges, Constituent Colleges and University Departments of Anna  Universities of Technology (AUTs) (May/June 2012) were to commence on 3.5.2012. But due to administrative reasons, the examinations on 3rd, 4th, 5th May 2012 were rescheduled on 28th, 29th and 30th May 2012 and the examinations on 28th, 29th and 30th May 2012 were rescheduled on 7th, 8th, and 9th June 2012.

The National Eligibility Test (NET) on 24 June 2012 Online application at ugc.ac.in

The UGC announces The National Eligibility Test (NET) on 24 June, 2012 , Sunday.

This test aims to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Eligibility for Lectureship in Indian universities and colleges.

The Test is conducted in humanities , social sciences, forensic science, environmental sciences, computer science and applications and electronic science.

UGC will conduct NET in 78 subjects at 74 selected University Centres spread across the country.

NET is conducted  twice a year, in the months of June and December. The result of June, UGC-NET is declared generally in the month of October.

Important dates of UGC NET:

Date of Examination : 24 June, 2012

Online application facilities are available up to : 30 April , 2012

Last date for receiving the documents at the test center: May 7, 2012

The Medical Council of India (MCI) will conduct the common entrance test for admission to undergraduate medical courses for the academic year 2012-13

Common Entrance Test for MBBS from May 2012: Download Syllabus here

The Medical Council of India (MCI) will conduct the common entrance test for admission to undergraduate medical courses for the academic year 2012-13 in various institutions across the country in May next year.

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for undergraduates (NEET-UG) for admission to MBBS, Post Graduate and super speciality courses will be conducted in pursuance of the Supreme Court directive.

Number of Seats:

42,000 seats for under graduate medical courses

20,600 seats for PG medical courses

Common core syllabus

The MCI has issued a common core syllabus for MBBS entrance exam, which has been put up in the public domain for feedback till August 11, following which the syllabus for physics, chemistry and biology would be finalised. The syllabus has been prepared by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).

The modalities for NEET-Post Graduation, common entrance test, for medical post-graduate (MD/MS) admissions, are being worked out.

Exam schedules

The examination is scheduled for January-February 2012. The pattern of the examination, distribution of questions across different MBBS subjects and model questions will be made available on the website in August. The NEET-SS for super-speciality courses (DM/MCh) is scheduled for June 2012, the statement said.

Last Date For Inter second year Exam Fee Payement on Nov 8th 25-10-2011 till November 14 .

Inter 2011-12 Exams

The last date for submission of exam fee for second year Inter examination is November 8 and students can pay till November 14 with a fine of Rs. 100.
It applies to all second year regular students, failed candidates (general and vocational) and attendance exempted private candidates (without college study) for Humanities groups apart from candidates who wish to appear with change of Group.Exam fee for second year regular students (general courses) is Rs. 330 including practical exam fee.
Fee only for first year papers or only for second year papers (irrespective of number of papers) is Rs.230.

Fee for students appearing for both first and second year (irrespective of number of papers) is Rs.560.
Fee for second year regular students for vocational courses is Rs. 330. Thosewho fail to pay fee in time or with late fee can apply for Tatkal scheme only which will be announced in November or December 2011.
