Arpit Aggarwal from Delhi has topped the IIT JEE this year. Bijoy Kocjhar from Chandigarh and Nishant Kaushik from Bhilai are 2nd and 3rd respectively. Arpit Agarwal is the student of Faridabad's Modern Vidya Niketan School, and his score in IIT-JEE 2012 is 385 out of 401.

27 of the 30 students from Bihar’s Super 30, a free coaching centre for underprivileged students, have cracked the highly competitive IIT-JEE 2012. The successful candidates include the wards of a truck mechanic, a farmer, a daily-wage labourer and vendors.
"All of them have managed to successfully chase their IIT-JEE dreams at Super 30 with their commitment and hard work" Super 30′s founder-director Anand Kumar told.
Admission would be granted based on the All India Rank, category rank, and the choices submitted by candidates at the time of counselling.
Candidates who clear IIT-JEE 2012 will have to submit a physical fitness certificate before admission.
More than 5.6 lakh students had appeared for the IIT-JEE on April 8, 2012. The maximum number of applications are for IIT-JEE 2012 came from Kanpur zone followed by Madras zone. The exams were held at 1,067 centres across the country for admission to nearly 9,600 undergraduate seats in the 16 IITs.
