Bank Of India recruitment notification 2012 for 3149 Clerks starts from 16th April apply online

BOI (Bank Of India) has just yesterday issued recruitment notification 2012 for 3149 Clerks. As per the notification, Online submission of form  has started from yesterday (i.e. 16th April) and the last date to apply online for BOI Clerk Recruitment 2012 is 28th April, 2012.

Bank Of India is the second bank to go for recruitment of clerks based on  IBPS CWE Clerk 2011 score - the first bank to recruit based on IBPS CWE 2011 score was Bank of Baroda for 2000 clerks. Another PSU bank, Dena Bank has also issued recruitment notification for 1090 clerks today.  The rest other 16 banks are very shortly going to issue recruitment notification for clerks. The total number of Clerk vacancies through IBPS CWE Clerk 2011 should be more than 20,000. The Common Written Exam 2011 was held for 19 major PSU banks of India on 27.11.2011 and the result was declared on 29th Feb, 2012.

Bank Of India Clerk Vacancy 2012:

There are 3149 Clerk vacancies in BOI as per the notification with category-wise vacancies as given at right. You can find the detailed State-wise Category-wise vacancy of  BOI Clerk Recruitment 2012 in page1/2 of the Notification.

This State-wise vacancy is very important as you have to apply for the clerk positions state-wise and you should be able to read, write, speak local language of that state. Moreover you should have appeared IBPS CWE 2011 from a centre of that state for which vacancies you want to apply.

Bank Of India Clerk Salary:

Salary (i.e. Pay-scale) offered by Bank Of India for these Clerk positions is Basic Pay: Rs.7200 – 19300 with other benefits like DA, HRA, etc

Bank Of India Eligibility for Clerks:

Age Eligibility (as on 01.08.2011): Min 18 yrs, Max 28 yrs. (Relaxations exists as per Govt rule).

Educational Qualification Eligibility  Minimum 50% in Class-XII or equivalent OR

Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Desirable Qualification:

You should have completed Foundation Course on Computer Awareness & Office Automation for duration of minimum 3 months from a Computer Institute.  This desired qualification will be waived in case of those having Computer subject as part of the curriculum at the Pre- Degree / Degree level.

IBPS CWE Cut-Off  for BOI Clerks:

IBPS Score cut-off for each individual tests:

For Unreserved: 24

For SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD/ Ex-servicemen: 21

IBPS CWE TWS cut-off mark State-wise, Category-wise:

You can find the state-wise cut-off marks for IBPS CWE TWS (Total Weighted Standard) Score for Bank Of India in the table at left.

As you can see, for Haryana, you need to have the highest CWE TWS score. The least CWE score is required for Andaman, NE hill states etc. For some categories in a particular state (like SC/ST/OBC in Haryana) no CWE cut-off has been mentioned in the notification, as for  this BOI Recruitment 2012, there is no clerk vacancy for these categories.

Other BOI Clerk Eligibility:

1.0 You should have appeared IBPS CWE 2011 from a centre in that State/UT for which you wish to apply.

2.0 You should be able to read, write and speak official language of that state.

Selection Process for Bank Of India Clerks:

Based on the CWE scores of the applicants received by BOI, it is going to shortlist the candidates for personal interview. How many of candidates are going to be called for BOI Clerk Interview? For every vacancy in each category, three candidates are going to be called. Hence a total of 9447 candidates are going to be interviewed for BOI Clerk recruitment.

Bank of India Clerk Interview carries 100 marks, For General category candidates, you should score minimum 50% of Interview marks to qualify. For the  Reserved categories, the Interview cut-off % age is 45% . The Final merit list would be prepared with IBPS marks and interview marks taken together.
